Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of astrohusky.com (the “Site”), including creating an account, signing in with a third-party provider, and posting comments. By using the Site, registering, or commenting, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use these features.

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by Nirmal Jangid (the “Operator”, “we”). Contact and postal details are in the Legal Notice (Impressum). The Site is a personal astrophotography portfolio offered free of charge; it is not a commercial service and sells nothing.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or have a parent/guardian’s consent) to register, consistent with GDPR Art. 8.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information; do not impersonate others or register on behalf of someone without authorisation.
  • New accounts are reviewed and approved manually before they can post. We may decline or remove accounts at our discretion (see Section 7).

3. Acceptable use & community rules

When commenting or otherwise contributing, you agree not to post content that is:

  • unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory;
  • infringing on anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
  • spam, advertising, link farming, malware, or automated/bot submissions;
  • sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience;
  • impersonating any person or misrepresenting your affiliation.

Keep discussion relevant and civil. This is a small, moderated community about astrophotography.

4. Your content & licence

You retain ownership of the comments and content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting it, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, reproduce, and moderate that content on the Site for the purpose of operating it. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights. You may request deletion of your User Content at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Site content & intellectual property

All photographs, text, graphics, and code on the Site (other than User Content) are the property of the Operator or licensed to them, and are protected by copyright. You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, redistribute, or use the astrophotographs commercially without prior written permission.

6. Moderation & reporting

We moderate comments before publication and may edit, refuse, or remove any User Content, and approve or decline any account, at our discretion and without prior notice — in particular where content breaches Section 3 or applicable law. To report content you believe is unlawful or infringing, email nirmaljangid@gmail.com; we will review and act on valid notices (notice-and-takedown under the German Digital Services Act / DDG and the EU Digital Services Act).

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access or account, and remove your User Content, if you breach these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Site and its users. You may stop using the Site and request account deletion at any time.

8. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, nor that content is accurate or complete. User Content reflects the views of its authors, not the Operator. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is liable without limitation only for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence, the Operator is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper use of the Site possible), limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. under the German Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Site evolves. The “last updated” date reflects the current version. For registered members, material changes will be communicated by email or an on-site notice; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
